"AHIS Historical Marker Placement, April 17, 2004"

This will be the unveiling of a historical marker being placed on the corners of Reese
and Pope Streets, the site of the old school.  This event will take place on April 17, 2004 @ 4:00p.m. at the site (Reese and Pope Streets).   There will be remarks about this school site at the unveiling.   Immediately following  the unveiling of the marker, there will be a short program and dinner at the Holiday Inn Express on Broad Street at 5:00p.m.  The cost for this is $15.00 per person.  This is will be a historical event for our community and our heritage.  Make checks payable to AHIS-BHHS Alumni Association, P.O. Box 6563, Athens Ga 30604-6563. The deadline for purchasing your tickets for this is April 10, 2004.

Reunion 2004 Slated for August 12-14

The AHIS/BHHS Reunion for 2004 will take place August 12, 13, and 14, 2004.  The host site is The Holiday Inn here in Athens.  The cost for any participation is $100 per person.  The events are:

Thursday, August 12 - Registration/packet pick-up, 6-9pm at the Holiday Inn New College Room (where the dance was two years ago).  We will have music, snacks and a time for socializing at this event.

Friday, August 13 - Brunch at the Holiday Inn - 11:00a.m.-1:00pm 7:00p.m.-8:00p.m. Happy Hour followed by the dance 8pm-midnight - refreshments included, Holiday Inn's Ballroom.

Saturday, August 14 - Bus Tour of Athens - 10:00a.m.  Reunion Banquet, 7:00p.m., Holiday Inn's Banquet Room.
